Can additional symbols be added? I need five color categories, there are currently only four. Thanks.

Do they need to be colored? There are several other symbol options (I used the Harvey Ball with empty, quarter, half, three-quarter, full selection when I had 5 status levels.
I don't think symbols can be configured by end-user yet.

You can also use dropdown lists with conditional formatting for more color options:
1. Add a dropdown list with each color you want, as a predetermined value
2. Set a conditional formatting rule that will color the background and text of the dropdown list cell based on what color you select from the dropdown list
Now when you select red (for example) from the dropdown list, the box will turn red.
