Is there a way to filter a sheet by "past due", "at risk", and "not started"?
A better way to put it may be, is there a way to filter from the conditional formatting on a sheet?
Hi Mark,
Yes you can filter by status. To set a filter, right click on the status column and select Filter Column. Here, you can select from a list of values (that exist in the column) or you can filter by a custom criteria.
Here's information on filters: http://help.smartsheet.com/customer/en/portal/articles/504659-filtering-columns
You cannot filter based on conditional formatting but its likely you can filter by the same criteria that your conditional formatting rules use to trigger the formatting.
Mark,
If I use the same filters a lot, I tend to create a report for the entire sheet with that filter.
Since reports are editable, this works for most editing (there are some sheet features lost when doing things by reports, but I take that on a case-by-case basis.
Hope this helps.
