Web Forms - Tailoring Fields depending on choice selected

I am trying to create a Web Form with 2 options and would like different fill-in fields depending on the option selected. For example, if a user selects Product Development, they should be asked to fill in fields for Project ID, Aproval Date etc, but if they select Production Support, they should be asked to fill in fields for Order fulfilment like Purchase Order and Promised Shipment Date.

Can this be done in a single Smartsheet Web Form tied to the same sheet?

Our Smartheet Sync add-on for Google Forms can add form responses from a Google Form to a sheet in Smartsheet.

We are looking into conditional fields on our web forms and I will add your vote for it!

The functionality of "conditional answering" does not exist in SS webforms based on SS Help and what I've experienced. However, I've not done a lot with Google Forms and since it ties into SS, you might try that route or see if someone who has can provide some more details.

You are not the only one who has requested this functionality and Travis and the SS Product Development team do a really good job of listening to the users and monitoring this board for requests such as yours.

Please add my vote on the SmartSheet native support for web form conditional fields. Yes we could go the Google Forms route, but it seems to me that this functionality is a natural for Shartsheet to support in-house. I can't wait for the rollout. Thakn you. -R.

Hi SmartSheet Community,

I'm a new user and am also looking for conditional logic in forms. Can someone update me as to it's availability? Has it been implemented yet?

Also, if it has not, can someone recommend an add-on or other product to use to accomplish this while using SS.

Unfortunately, there isn't support for this natively in Smartsheet but you can use Smartsheet sync with Google Forms or another similar solution.
