I know there is a way to constrain a search to the "current sheet". Is there a way to constrain a search to the current *report*.

No you cannot use the search feature within a report. You can of course add further criteria to the report to find what you are looking for assumming you know which column it is in.
It seems the only way to "search" a report is to use the Search and Replace feature, even though the help topics seem to indicate that the Search feature searches everything.
