Live/Real time Excel docs?

Once you insert Excel doc, how do I make it a live doc so all contributors can make real time changes and have it saved that way?

You just need to share it with them so they can see it.

Provide the Excel link from 365 or Dropbox or Box, the there is just one version in real time.

Just to build on what other people have said:

 

Smartsheet does not have an Excel editor built into the application. Other systems do, such as Dropbox. This means you can attach the file to your sheet from Dropbox, then when you click on the file, it opens in Dropbox's Excel editor and changes are saved to the original file.

We don't use Dropbox at my company.  How about Google Drive?

Alina, no problem at all. Google Drive works just the same. Plus a number of other benefits such as Smartsheet Merge and Google forms to Smartsheet.

If you go with Drive, the file will need to be imported to Google Sheets - not just uploaded as an Excel file. Drive cannot edit Excel files but if it's added as a Google Sheet, you can edit the file.
