Text Formatter for Discussions section

Is there the ability to add a text formatter to the Discussions section of Smartsheets, which is same as you would get in Google Mail? (example capture below). Invariably I would like to emphasis a part of the comments I am making by selecting a particular section in Bold or Underline it, but this is not currently possible, as far as I can see.
