If I share a report to someone outside of my organization but it shows up blank, what am I doing wrong? They are not shared to the underlying sheet - is that the problem? Is there a workaround?
Hahaha. Maybe I can play it off by just saying we don't have to send out fresh published links every 30 days anymore and not tell them why the change. Hahahahaha.
No. Most of my coworkers are pretty easy going. I'll get a little bit of ribbing for sure, but nothing major.
Haha!
Haha! Good luck!
Can the people that have access to the report (in the process initially described) make edits to it? If not, is there a way to share a report (without sharing the underlying sheet) that the users have permissions to edit the report?
No, they will not be able to make edits to the report. The only way to share an editable report with your clients is to share them on the original sheet as editors.
If they need to edit, I'd recommend looking at the premium add-on called Dynamic View, because, with it, you can choose what who will see when.

Would that work?

Not ideal. Are there any other options?
Do they need to edit everything on each row or just a few cells?
How many rows? Are rows added frequently?
Can you describe your process in more detail?
How much editing needs to be done? Are there consistent triggers?
Maybe sending update requests would work. You can limit what they see to the specific row that needs updated and only include specific columns, and they don't necessarily have to be shared to the sheet to submit a response to an Update Request.
Looks like you beat me to it. Haha.
They only need to be able to change one column on the report - % complete. I want to avoid sharing the underlying sheet with them.
I would suggest looking into update requests. You can limit what can be edited and what can be seen, and you don't have to share someone to a sheet for them to be able to respond to an update request.
Would it generate a separate request for each item? There are quite a few items on the report so I don't want to overcomplicate it - just want them to update it if/when they have made progress on an item.
Alternatively, can I hide certain rows on the underlying sheet if I do share it out?
I'm receiving this message every time I try to open my sheets. I'm the only admin user. I have already performed proper troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache, logging in incognito, and logging out and back in, but the issue remains unresolved. It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
I’ve created an automation that generates a document and forwards it to the individual specified in a cell. The line item also has several additional attachments associated with it. Is there a way to include those attachments with the generated document?
I have an automation set up that copies a row to another sheet each day. The automation itself works correctly, but the problem is that it copies the formulas rather than the values, which causes the formulas to break and return errors. How can I configure it to copy only the values instead of the formulas?
