Why can't I "Upload New Version" of a file when it is attached to discussion?
Smartsheet,
I just realized that I cannot upload a new version of a file that is attached to a discussion.
At least I think this is true. Please confirm.
If yes - Can you add a feature that allows for this?
This comes in handy when I am starting a discussion about a document that needs review from several people.
Thanks.
Gregg

Gregory,
Yes you are right.
Option:
Create Dropbox folder, Share to all who need to review document, place document in drop box
Attach URL to Dropbox folder to discussion.
Replace old document with updated version into dropbox
Advise in discussion the document has been updated.

Guys,
That's really strange. I've just tried and did not recognize the file. When you do the same in Row Attachments, it does:
However, James is right - the best way is to keep the file in Dropbox or GDrive and to attach its URL in Smartsheet.

New Zapier integrations allows triggers on attachment and discussion updates.
That might help too.

Why hasns't this been fixed yet? You can send out an update request, but you can't upload a new version to an attachment?
Thanks!
