I've googled and haven't really found an answer. I'm looking for links to actual smartsheets, so i can see layouts and formulas etc.

 

I'm not looking for customer testimonials, or samples, or templates or business cases, just different smartsheets

    i'd like to see working smartsheets. different layouts, different tricks with summarizing the data, how to get around some of the properties of some columns. are people adding an extra data column to perform calculations on dropdown menu columns. etc.

    There are so many different possibilities that specific use cases would make it much easier to provide examples.

    Same as above. There are so many different variables to take into account including how the data is entered, how the data is stored, how it it displayed, the end goal, etc... There is no one "general solution". From cell linking vs cross sheet references (or both) to pulling metrics on data sheet vs creating a separate metrics sheet (or both again), there are just way too many possibilities to list out without some kind of use case provided.

    Are you meaning navigation and use of or workarounds for limitations? Again... So many different possibilities...

    You will generally see these referred to as "Helper Columns" here in the Community, and they are used quite a bit. But again... They may not always be part of the most ideal solution.
