Screen auto refresh
My work is set up with a dual monitor and I normmaly have Smartsheet opened on both of my monitors. Since the upgrade a few weeks ago, I have noticed that the screen will auto refresh or even sometimes while I am typing it will automatically refresh itself to match the other screen.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Thank you,
Mike Nguyen

Mike ,
I typically have more than 2 Smartsheet tabs open, Chrome, Chrome incognito, Firefox. Even had to open Edge.
I believe I DID see that problem, but it did not return and currently my two Firefox instances are doing fine and have been since Saturday.
I'll keep my eye out of it though and report back if I notice it.
What browser(s) are you using?
Craig.

Thank you Craig for the feedback. I am currently using Internet Explorer and unfortunately that is the only browser we are allowed to use per our IT department. I have requested for Chrome but to no avail.

Mike,
No problem.
I am using Windows 10. I am not even sure if IE is an option anymore.
The usual browser related advice is
1. turn off add-ons
2. clear the cache
3. blame another piece of software.
I hope you find a solution.

Hi Mike,
Craig's suggestions will be the first line of troubleshooting on this (I especially am fond of step 3 ). However, we do sometimes see refreshing like this if you have an extension enabled in the browser or on your desktop. One extension we see this with is Caffeine, which refreshes every 59 seconds.
IE might also be refreshing the session natively, in an attempt to ping our servers and keep the session current.
If you have a home computer and are able to test out keeping Smartsheet open in two windows of a different browser, that might help narrow things down to a browser-specific issue.
Please also feel free to reach out to support@smartsheet.com (you can reference this thread in an email) if testing doesn't reveal anything conclusive regarding your browser or extensions, and our team can take a closer look.

Thank you Craig and Kate. I often tried step 3 but I usually get the response from my IT guy that I don't know what I am talking about.
I'll test it this weekend on a different browser with my home computer and will see how it goes.
Thank you again.

Isn't that an IT person standard response?
