Decision matrix template?
Hi all,
I am new to smartsheet, and have created a decision matrix style spreadsheet to compare special schools for my son, giving ratings according to different criteria. I want to then be able to work out. Instead of stumbling along to work it out, I assume someone will have something suitable?
If not sure what I am talking about:
A decision matrix is a tool to help you decide between multiple options by scoring them against different criteria. Using a decision matrix you can effectively blast through tough decisions.

I created a template for a SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) that works great for proposals and project analysis.

HI, Thanks again for your great help with creating this matrix for me, is there an easy way to swap around the columns so that the factors are rows, and the options are the columns? The reason is I have now widdled down my decisions to a few schools, and have many factors, so would like the format to be that of portrait page setup. just don't want to screw up teh formatting.
thanks for your help in advance if okay

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. I've been swamped.
It would be possible. All of the columns are Text/Number - which would be the limiting factor at first thinking about this.
It would probably take me about two hours. Maybe less.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time at the moment.
When do you need it by if it hasn't already passed?
If anyone else wants to take a crack at this, shoot me and email (in the comments above) and I'll share the sheet with Admin privileges to you.

Hi Craig, no worries on updating the format on this, I can manage iwth it like this. But, I did manage to break something so now my best option is not the only one highlighted, all of them are, I think I cut and paste something out of order. Any chance you can point me in the right direction?
thanks, lisa

I'll take a look.
You can also get a quicker response by emailing directly.
I'm swamped and behind on checking the Community.

HI Craig-
do you know how this looks in a webform?

I'm not sure I understand the question? It is not designed for entry from a form. Just display or editing?
Apologies for my confusion.

I am looking for a decision matrix that I can send out and have people surveyed. I don't believe it is possible. Your design seems the closest though.
Thanks,
Debbie
