I am trying to add the children count of several columns but I just have a 0 as a result of a simple =Sum() formula.

Not sure I follow! Do you want to sum the 6+6+6 on the same row or all the children for those columns or something else?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
