New discussion does not auto-follow

After submission, the discussion was not being followed.

 

I did not notice this until I checked why no one had responded to my new discussions from last week. They had, but I was not following the thread.

 

 

I know there has been some work on the Community recently based on some different behaviors. This looks like a new bug.

Hi Craig! I just tested out creating a new discussion, both as my Community Manager account and as a non-employee, non-Community manager test account and in both tests, it appeared that I was following the discussion. To confirm, we don't automatically subscribe you to discussion updates, there is a checkbox in the New Discussion form that is checked by default to allow this, but it's possible that it was unchecked. I know that I've unchecked the box to follow discussion updates when submitted new comments by accident before!

 

Can you try replicating the issue in another browser? If so, please send me screen captures of the behavior directly at Kennedy.Stomps@Smartsheet.com so I can follow up on this. Thanks!
