Function that temporaly stop the sharing of the sheet

Hi,

Is there any function that I can temporaly stop the sharing of the sheet when I'm doing the amendments? Instead of all the members always receiving an email about the changes of the sheets.

Note: I'm also the owner of the sheet.

I change the Notifications to notify once a day or week so the shared users will not get mutliple emails about changes being made. When I am finished making changes I put the notifications back to what they were.

It would be very helpful if like you said there is a button you could push to suspend that function.

Feature Request:

1. Suspend all Alerts with an optional end-date to turn it back on (vacations, outages come to mind)

2. Suspend all sharing with an optional end-date to restore them.

- should require sheet owner permission (like the change ownership confirmation email)

- should send out (optionally?) an email to all shared users with user defined message to let them know the system maintenance is going on.
