I would like to know how to calculate the% of progress that would correspond to a cut-off date.
In the MS Project it would correspond to the "Status Date".
Has anyone had any similar situation and been able to solve it?

When you have a moment, submit a Product Enhancement Request to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this functionality in Smartsheet.
If needed, more information on % Complete can be found here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765737-project-sheet-columns-start-date-end-date-duration-complete-and-predecessors#Complete
