I have tried numerous ways of creating the new sheet I want to MOVE the rows too and I keep getting this message. The sheet is in the same workspace.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance!
Joyce
Check out this article and see if anything applies. It sounds like you might have sheet level permissions that need to be set.
https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1155182-sharing-permission-levels
There is a large section on there about permissions that need to be set for moving rows. Either your current sheet or the destination sheet might need some permission changes to accommodate the move.
Thank you, but I'm the owner of both sheets.
Hi Joyce,
I'm a product manager at Smartsheet. Is the new Proofing feature enabled on your sheet? Right now you are not able to use Automated Move Row if Proofing is enabled, so you will need to disable Proofing to Automate Move Row. We are allowing Automated Move Row on a sheet with Proofing enabled soon!
I accidentally emailed this instead of posting it...
Does the sheet include proofing? https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2479626-automatically-move-rows-between-sheets
This article states:
Note: If you attempt to move a row that includes a proof, you will receive an error stating, "Rows can't be moved to the destination sheet. The owner of this sheet doesn't have the required permission on the destination sheet, or it no longer exists." See Troubleshoot Issues with Proofing for more information.
Thank you both of you! I actually just clicked and saw the proofing before I did the Move Workflow, so that could be it.
I don't need the proofing now, but will in the near future.
Is this a temporary bug or something that will always be?
Thanks again! Very much appreciated!
Question regarding the Workflow MOVE - do formulas come over or just the data?
Also, If there was a formula in the cell in rows above will that formula still be there when another row is inserted via a form after a MOVE happens? TIA!
Hi Joyce, this is just a temporary restriction, and you will be able to Move Rows (manually or through automation) by the end of the month.
Thanks for the info—I encountered the exact same issue yesterday. It's fab that Smartsheet is working on enhancements to these exciting new features that will be so helpful not only in our marketing department, but in other parts of the organization. I'll figure out a workaround in the meantime.
It's only the data that will transfer, but if you have at least two rows with the same formula structure and formatting in the receiving sheet that would autofill to the moved row.
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!

I'm unable to disable proofing on my sheet. There is no tab or button to push visible.
This is what I see. There is only one entry and there isn't a proof on that row or the sheet.
@christi.erwin64351 Depending on your permission levels, there should be a slider at the bottom that allows you to turn proofing on or off, but you also need to have the appropriate permissions on that sheet.
Hi Christi,
@christi.erwin64351
This hopefully helps!
Licensed users with Owner or Admin permissions can enable the Proofing capability and upload a proof for review. Any licensed user with Owner, Admin or Editor permissions can upload a proof for review.

Can I disable proofing once I already enabled it? I'm trying to move rows to another sheet but am getting the same error as above. I previously enabled proofing on the sheet and don't see how I can disable it now.
I have a monthly report I send out that has a long list of recipients. I know I can edit the recurrence of it being sent, but does anyone know of an easy way to just add or take out people that get my email without having to recreate the whole thing?
We would like to allow conference attendees to check themselves in using tablets at the conference center. I know there is a "find in sheet" magnifying glass in table view, but it is not super obvious, especially for non-Smartsheet users. Is there a better way for them to easily find their row among all the attendees so…
Greetings- I have a automation setup when I select the "status" column drop-down to "completed" I want the row info to be emailed to the contact to submitted it with a follow up then I want it to archive the row (aka move to another sheet). When I run the automation only 1 of the 2 requests happen. The archive happens…
