Sorting Capabilities Changed?

Ditto. All departments at my company that use SmartSheet are experiencing the same problem today. We need help ASAP.

I've solved it,
Right click on the top bar and click "Show Filter Menu"
Then make sure the filter is set to "No Filter"
Rather than Unnamed filter
You should then be able to sort -
Thanks! I've got it!

Thanks, Rebecca. This was driving me crazy!

Happy to be of help!

Hi All—
Best Answered Rebecca's comment as it's right on the nose.
If you're still experiencing issues with sorting after trying Rebecca's steps, please email Support@Smartsheet.com and our team can troubleshoot.
Thanks!

Previously using filters, you could opt to show a list of all entries of a column and select the ones you want to view. That seems to have gone away with the upgrade. Anyone know how to still do that?

Hi Arne,
The functionality that you're speaking of can be done within the new Filtering options as well. All you need to do is make sure that when you go into setup a filter, rather than leaving it at the normal default of "contains" (this may not always be what you see), you can scroll up to the top of the filter options and select "is one of". Once you do this, you'll see the third box change to "Select Values" and is a dropdown list of the various options in the column like the old list you used to see.

Thank you Steve!

Steve,
Is there a way to also save a custom sort in the saved filter? When we have requesters to our sheet via a "form", it always drops those to the bottom of the sheet, but a "due date" is what I continually have to resort my sheet to everyday. Therefore, we unfilter, then resort, then filter again.

We don't have a way to save a sort or for a sort to apply to new rows that enter a sheet. I'll pass your feedback for this along to our Product team!
