Moving to Salesforce Lightning - no support for Smartsheet Integration?

Hi all, 

We are moving Salesforce from classic to Ligtning and discovered that the Salesforce integration (NOT the new connector) is not supported.  So we can no longer link Smartsheets to our accounts or records.

 

Have I read the material wrong or has anyone had experience with Lightning and found a way to make this work.

As you probably know, we've been very focused on the new Smartsheet for Salesforce capability that synchronizes data between Salesforce and Smartsheet. During this time we haven't been focused on the older functionality that puts some UI elements inside of Salesforce and we haven't done any work to make it optimal in Lightning. We do plan to update that functionality, and although I don't have a firm date for the update at this time, I'm guessing it will be sometime in Q1 2017.

Q1 would be fine, the 'Connector' is a much higher priority - thank you!

The Salesforce v1 integration is no longer supported. Please feel free to submit a Product Enhancement Request to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this functionality in Smartsheet.
