Daily Alert missing items

I have a sheet setup with a daily alert which sends an email to specific people of any changes. For some reason my own changes are not being included in this email. Is that to be expected? Are the emails set up to filter out the person they are being sent to?

Yes. The notification feature is designed for you to receive email notifications when other people make changes to the sheet.

NOTE: The notification will only include changes made by other collaborators. You won’t receive notifications for changes you make.
