Archiving a Child row with it's parent row.
Hello everyone!
I want to set up a workflow where I move a row when it check off as archived. But that row is a child of a parent row. How can I move both the child and parent row from my sheet, but also not actually remove the parent row from the master sheet?
Thank you!

Hi,
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to keep the hierarchy when moving/copying to another sheet, but it's an excellent idea!

I didn't "solve" it necessarily but what I did was create a column that is hidden and added the formula =PARENT([Task Name]3) on each row. That way I have the Parent Task on the same row of the task.
I'm not sure if that makes sense!
-
Ok.
Glad you got it working!
Pro-tip: If you use =PARENT([Task Name]@row instead it will show the parent for that row instead. No need to think about which row number it is. Make sense?

Hey @Andrée Starå
Is it still the case? still not possible to keep the hierarchy when moving/copying to another sheet?
Got any advice with such rows for archiving purposes or for other projects use?
Thanks,
-
@A Rose wondering the same thing @Andrée Starå - Thanks!
