Can I set the width of a column to the widest cell content via API?

Anyone got any clever workarounds to set the width of a column object to the width value of the widest cell in the column content-wise?

    Hi Stephen,

    Currently, there is no way to set the width of a column to the width value of a widest cell; the "widest cell" could be so many different widths, depending on font, font size, screen zoom, if there's an image in the cell, etc.

    I don't understand... the widest cell would be the umm, cell that is the widest. Content wouldn't matter (it's still pixels), Zoom wouldn't matter (the whole thing is zoomed, so it's all relative)
