Will locking a parent row lock the children?

Hello,

I am looking at creating a way to track monthly time sheets. Ideally, I would like to have parent rows for each month with numbered days beneath. In theory, I would like to have an option where the supervisor approves that month, and then it automatically locks the entire month. This would mean that it would need to lock the parent and children rows.

I have it set up to lock the parent row when "Supervisor Signature" is "Approved," but does this mean that the children rows are locked as well?

I would like to have one document (per employee) for all 12 months of tracking leave (we only report time taken off), for the employee to revisit each month. I would want to have a setting so I know they don't alter their time after the supervisor has approved it.

Thank you!
