Possible searching "symbols" (star, flags, etc.) using search bar?

Hi,

 

By using the search bar at the top of Smartsheet I am able to find almost everything in a sheet, but a symbol. 

 

For instance, for column symbols "flag" (on/off) or "start" (on/off"), is there any syntax that would search for all rows containing "stars"?

You may have picked the two that don't work.

 

The Flag and Stars return #Invalid Column Value when trying to return the value using a formula.

Others (that I checked at random) return the value in text (High/Low/Red/etc...)

 

Searching (using the search box) for the text returns the symbol row.

Filters using "one of" work too.

 

But not for Flag and Stars

Indeed worked: "High/Low/Red/etc..." in text.

Also, you mentioned "Filters using 'one of' work too". I don't know hoe this type of filter works in the search. Could you please provide an example?

Not a search but a filter.

On the column action menu (the down arrow icon on the lower right of any selected column), there are "Filter ..." and "Show Filter Menu" menu items.

If the Filter menu is already displayed, it will be under the sheet/report tabs on the upper left.

 

When building the filter, select a column with your symbols, The second column contains the criteria part of the filter.

 

 

Filters only work on the sheet you are looking at.

 

If you want to get more than that, check out Reports.
