Returning specific words when no match on index formula

Hi,

I have the below formula that works when data is entered on the index sheet, what i would like to achieve is instead of #NO MATCH when data is not present, the words "Awaiting Data" Current formula is:

=INDEX({Angela shift patterns managed by}, MATCH(Store@row, {Angela shift patterns store names}, 0))

I have read a lot about if error but cannot get my head around what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,

You’d use IFERROR for this.

Try something like this.

=IFERROR(INDEX({Angela shift patterns managed by}, MATCH(Store@row, {Angela shift patterns store names}, 0)),"Awaiting Data")
