Spred Sheet for each Department

Hi there Everyone

 

I am new with smart sheet and i work on a Engineer firm. I am encharged of the design department and i was wandering if it would be wise to make a sheet ony to this department.

Or making a sheet to work with all departments at the same time.

 

If someone can help me with this!

Chances are, you'll want to have sheets per department.

Some will be common but project sheets are often different than say financial sheets and human resources sheets - those last two are really need-to-know and need to be treated with care.

 

In my previous life, we decided on one workspace for "everyone", one for each team or department, one per project, and a few others on as needed basis.

We set up Groups (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1554165-managing-groups-team-business-enterprise-) and controlled the access using them.

 

If you give the environment some thought up front, it is less likely to get out of control.

I've got a client with 12 people, 1500 sheets, and no way for them to know what is what. They use less than 20 sheets on a daily or weekly basis. The rest are just backup and experiments and oh-mys
