Sourcing drop down list

I saw that people had questions about 'sourcing drop down list' from 2015... why it hasn't been implemented yet? will this feature ever be added ?

I found one suggestion to "link another sheet", but it can not be dragged to pass the function along to other cells , instead every time i have to select each cell and and pick a range.

if anyone has figured something out, please share. 🤔

There might be a workaround that would help/work. The premium add-on, Data Uploader being one.
