VLOOKUP on a VLOOKUP Cell
I have attached an example of what I am trying to do. I have columns in a sheet that are based on a VLOOKUP. I have another column that I need to populate based on the results of one of the VLOOKUP columns.
Or is there are way I could write an IF function and list all 50 states and what the name should be for each state?
Many thanks for any help!

Hi Kim,
You can either use a multiple IF formula or a VLOOKUP or an INDEX/MATCH combination.
Here's an example with VLOOKUP.
Try something like this.
In the same sheet, add two more columns, STATES and AM.
- STATES = The states
- AM = The AM responsible for the State and then use the formula below to get the AM to the ACCT MGR column.
=VLOOKUP(STATE@row; STATES:AM; 2; 0)
The same version but with the below changes for your and others convenience.
=VLOOKUP(STATE@row, STATES:AM, 2, 0)
Depending on your country, you’ll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Thank you! I did not think I could do a VLOOKUP with my search value being from another VLOOKUP. I will try this.
