Responding to form submissions

I'm setting up a form for non-licensed users (requestors) to submit inquiries regarding the status of our projects. I have the form set up so that my team can provide a response to the inquiry within the form when they receive a notification that a new request has been submitted. How do I automate getting that response back to the requestor?

Have you thought about using an Update Request workflow instead? Is that an option?

That would work if I could designate the column that has the requestors email address. How do I get the alert to allow me to select the requestor email column?

Sorry, I misread the question.

First the requester needs to add their email address to the form so you have it on the row and available.

We could then for example use an Automation Workflow with an alert to send a message or use send row for example.

Would any of those methods work?

I have a space for the requestor to enter their email address and it will of course populate in the sheet. I am trying to create an alert to send a message to the requestor after my team answers the inquiry. When I get to the section where I select where to send the alert, how do I designate the requestor's email address?

You'll have to use/add a contact type column where they add their email address.

If you're using the default, send me a copy feature you can deactivate it.

If you want to send them a confirmation, you could set up an alert to send it automatically.
