=ISBLANK, =IF??

I need help working out a flag formula, please.

If [Cell] contains anything (is not blank), turn on the star

If [cell] is blank leave star off

I have tried these - none work:

=ISBLANK([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]@row, "Off", "", "On"

=ISBLANK([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]@row, "0", "", "1")

=IF([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]@row = <>, 1, 0)

=IF([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]@row = "<>", 1, 0)

=IF([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]6 = "*", 1, 0)

WOO HOO! I figured it out!

=IF([Date Invoice Approved & Who Requested]@row = "", 0, 1)
