An update request was sent when not scheduled
I have checked all of the settings but can't figure out why this specific update request was sent to my staff? We have been using this sheet for around 6 months and this has never happened before so I'm certain the settings are correct. When I check the list of updates sent from the option on the right of the sheet, it does not show that an update was sent on this date to this staff person. Any ideas? Thank you!

Have you checked both the manual and automated update request options?
Have you checked if there are any clues in the Activity Log?

@hmcnamara95571 Update requests can be manually requested or requested by an automation.
A manual update may have been made on the sheet by someone with access. Users with Editor permissions or above can send an update request. It appears you checked for this and ruled it out.
An update request can be sent from an Automation. So, if a change was made to the sheet that matched the Automation, the system would send an update request. You can look at the Automation -> Manage Workflow menu to see if there is an workflow on the sheet that might have sent the request.
Also, you can view File -> View Activity Log to see if an automation actually fired.
NOTE: Your sheet permissions affect your access to the menu functions I've referenced.
If you need further help to debug, it would be helpful to post a screen capture of any applicable workflow.

I have checked everything as far as I know. I've attached a shot of the list of update requests sent. There is one request sent today but it was not to the staff who received the one I'm speaking (not the staff or the row).
