Linking sheets
Hi, I am linking a master sheet to a smaller sheet and I want a formula that will look at the master sheet and add new rows on the smaller sheet if there are some. It will update the linked fields. I am jsut trying to avoid manual work.
thank you

Hi Audrie,
- You can use the copy-row automation and a combination of VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH.
- Depending on your specific process, it could also work with only a combination of VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH.
Would any of those options work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

HI Andrée,
Thank you for responding and it worked, thank you. But what about adding the additional rows on the main sheet to the destination? I tried to add that and it worked but when I deleted a row, the destination sheet did not delete the row.
On another note is there a way that I can track changes on the source sheet that will work on the destination sheet also?
thanks

Happy to help!
The row wont delete on the Destination sheet, but it will not show any data because there isn't a MATCH.
Make sense?

Not sure I follow! Can you please elaborate?

I love this idea. I have a master list of my customers, and I'm trying to create a sub-sheet that I can use to track interactions. I want to just have a form that I can use to input customer interactions in the sub-sheet, but uses the account information from the main sheet, like Account Name. Where would I go to figure out how to do that?
Thank you!

Hi @Cory Morris
Here’s more information about VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
I hope that helps!
