COUNTIF with CONTAINS and OR

I need to count the items in Column 7 that contain "OR" or "P". I can count them individually, but can't figure out where the OR part needs to go to get both factors in the count.
=COUNTIF([Column7]2:[Column7]7, CONTAINS("OR", @cell))
=COUNTIF([Column7]2:[Column7]7, CONTAINS("P", @cell))

@Anne VanCuren Can't you just sum them? This formula gives 3 as the answer:
=COUNTIF(Column7:Column7, CONTAINS("OR", @cell))+COUNTIF(Column7:Column7, CONTAINS("P", @cell))
