Auto fill a cell when a new row is added
How do I auto populate a column when a new row is added?

As long as there are at least two rows above and/or below the new row that have the formula(s) as well as the same hierarchy, autofill should work.

I would like each new row to autofill one column with the same formula as the row above it. I am unsure where to find the command or formula to insert the 'autofill' instructions? Can you point me in the right direction?

Not sure i follow!
Doesn't it work for you when there are two rows before/after?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

It should work automatically. There is no specific command, function, or formula.

@Andrée Starå I think what everyone, including myself is asking for, is when someone fills out a web form, the data is added at the ends of the form (top or bottom depending on your settings). This will be beyond the dataset and therefore the autofill function does not work.

@alecching Are you able to expand on that or provide some mocked up screenshots for reference?
