How do I auto populate a column when a new row is added?
As long as there are at least two rows above and/or below the new row that have the formula(s) as well as the same hierarchy, autofill should work.
I would like each new row to autofill one column with the same formula as the row above it. I am unsure where to find the command or formula to insert the 'autofill' instructions? Can you point me in the right direction?
Not sure i follow!
Doesn't it work for you when there are two rows before/after?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

It should work automatically. There is no specific command, function, or formula.

@alecching Are you able to expand on that or provide some mocked up screenshots for reference?
Hello! I copied a form I had made for a similar event I am working on now. I made minor adjustments to the form to match the needs of the event. I distributed the form for people to complete, so the form is active, but the data is not populating onto my Smartsheet. Please advise. I would prefer not to have people redo the…
Hello. Trying to make a quick attendance tracker for a meeting. I got conditional formatting to change the cell color when its checked vs unchecked.
