Copy rows with automation: destination sheet not appearing.
Good afternoon,
I am trying to set up and automation that will copy a row when a field is changed. I would like to copy it from one sheet to another. I am able to set up most of the workflow but when I try to select the sheet to copy to I can't see it on the list of available sheets. I am the owner of the new sheet and have admin permissions on the sheet I am setting up the workflow on.
Thanks
Cindy

Hi Cindy,
You mention that you have Admin permissions on the original sheet - since you're not the Owner, you will need to make sure that the Owner of the first, original sheet is shared to the second sheet as well.
Please see our Help Center article on Automatically copying/moving rows, here:
To create a workflow that automatically moves or copies rows, both you and the owner of the source sheet must have Owner- or Admin-level sharing permissions to the destination sheet.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Haha I've definitely been confused by this on my own workflows before... now it's the first thing I check if I hear that a sheet isn't appearing!

This is one of the reasons I set up a Sys Admin User. All of the super vital, mission-critical sheets and things that would break our project management are owned by this admin user. Some workspaces are not even shared to any other users. It keeps a layer of protection around some things, and also ensures that if an employee leaves, the sheets (or the entire system) doesn't have to have ownership transferred to someone else.
This dosen't mean EVERYTHING has to be done as the administrator user.. just keep this practice in mind when you need future-proof things.
