Formulas usable in the predesessor (Lag field)
I have a sequence of Tasks that I would like to generate the predecessor based on a future task. So i use SS-28d .
Is there a way to use a cell reference or a variable to replace the 28d ?
Am I going about this the wrong way?

Formulas cannot be placed in columns used by the dependency settings when dependencies are turned on. To be able to use a formula, you would need to turn dependencies off and use formulas to replicate how they work. Depending on your use though, this could get rather complicated rather quickly.

I would suggest that (when you have a moment) you Submit A Product Enhancement Request because it would be rather handy to be able to use formulas in dependency columns.
