Can the VIEW REQUEST button that is on the Automated Approval Workflow be available for an alert?

Can the VIEW REQUEST button that is on the Automated Approval Workflow email notification be available for an alert smartsheet notification? Leaders who are tasked with an approval workflow are seeing that when a smartsheet alert email notifying them to approve a workflow does not include the VIEW REQUEST button. They find it hard to trace back to the approval they are supposed to approve with out the VIEW REQUEST button that is on the initial approval workflow email notification. They said it would be nice to have the VIEW REQUEST button which takes them right to the request they need to approve. Help.

the triggers is when the request form is submitted and it comes into my grid as SUBMITTED status for workflow approval. appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment

As a possible workaround, you could use an Update Request instead.

@Andrée Starå I was thinking of sending out a second Approval Request instead of an Update Request. That's why I asked about the trigger for the alert.

So are you thinking I should make a second approval request with a new column/date time stamp?

The form is submitted and i have the approval workflow to notify the approves when submitted.

But then you said there is an additional alert that gets sent out afterwards?

JENNY HICKMAN

I set up an additional smartsheet daily alert email to inform if the status is still in submitted status that they must approve? I apologize. I just brushed my teeth and I got to go for a dental cleaning. please help and thanks. best, jenny

You can change that alert to an Approval Request with the same conditions, and it should send out an additional Approval Request which would contain the button.
