Import Excel Data automatically

Hello Experts,

We are currently exporting excel file from SAP to Desktop and the same file is being manually fed in smart sheets to accommodate the existing charts on daily basis to update.

As of I don't find any plugin to correct SuccessFactors directly. Please suggest if there is any option in Smart sheet to automatically import the excel spreadsheet to update

If Data Uploader isn't an option, there might be a workaround.

I recently developed a client solution where they needed to use an exported excel sheet as a source for each new project plan. Similar to your process, it seems.

Hello Andre,

We have installed Data Loader and connected Google Drive for testing purpose. Do we have option to restrict columns to be updated.

Example -

Source sheet is having 16 columns

Target sheet is having 1 to 16 columns should extract data from source sheet and rest 17 to 20 columns are having formulas.

I was able to successfully bring data from source to target sheet. But for some reasons, its wiping out formula for 17 to 20 columns.

CAN WE RESTRICT the smart sheet NOT to touch the 17 to 20 columns. Please assist

Hi Andree,

Yes, Replacing will over write entire row and its a limitation. Alternatively i need to use Merge option in data up loader. But Merge is also having limitations, when I have multiple data with same primary key.

So, I used REPLACE option to fill the data from external source and written formula in a separate sheet. Unfortunately, I see lot of limitations but I achieved what i required with lot of pain
