Conditional Formatting for Kanban Card View
Comments
-
Hi Sara,
You can change the color of the task bar, which is the color along the left side of the cards in Card view, via Conditional Formatting. Details on this are available in our Help Center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/516359-conditional-formatting
At this time, there isn't a way to change the background color of cards, but I'll get your vote down for this on our enhancement request list for further consideration.

Hi Shaine,
Is there a link for the enhancement request list? I'd like to upvote this request as well.
Thank you very much

Shane,
Above you told Sara that you can change the color of the task bar (which is the color along the left side of the cards in Card view) via Conditional Formatting.
I set a criteria to change the background color of the entire row. I could not get this to work for me. I can see the row's color change in sheet view... but nothing is affected in card view. Can you elaborate?
Thanks, Craig

Hi Craig,
Did you change the background color or the Task Bar color? You need to use the Task Bar which is the lowest option on the dialog that shows when you click Entire Row

Duh, how much more in my face could that be. Rob, thanks for pointing that out to me.
-
I would also like to up vote this for an enhancement.

Sometimes the "Task Bar" option does not show up on the "This Format" drop down window. I cannot determine what conditions cause this but it has happened to me on more than 2 occasions.

I would like to add a vote for this. Being able to conditionally format the entire card and individual lines displayed would be of great value. Any idea if something like this is in the works?
