Days Duration Calculation Based on Criteria
Hi all, here's my scenario. I have four sets of cars that get moved out of my location. They come sporadically throughout the month. Im trying to figure out a formula that would average the turn time on a particular set of cars. Any ideas? Sample Below
8606 05/01/20
340200 05/02/20
8606 05/04/20
340200 05/06/20
8606 05/09/20
340200 05/10/20
8606 05/13/20
340200 05/14/20
8606 05/17/20
340200 05/20/20
8606 05/21/20
8606 05/25/20
5437 05/30/20
340200 06/03/20
340200 06/07/20
340200 06/13/20
340200 06/18/20
340200 06/24/20
400001 06/24/20
340200 07/01/20
5437 07/08/20
340200 07/08/20
340200 07/15/20
400001 07/16/20

My suggestion would be to restructure your data so that instead of having two separate rows for 8606 you have one row with both dates in their own columns. From there you could set up one more column that will calculate the number of days in between and then average off of this column.

Hey Paul, I ended up restructuring my data while waiting for your reply. Is there anything you recommend when creating these formulas that might be helpful for me to keep in mind?

The only "tips" I can give you without more detail would be that simpler is better. Haha. This setup should be relatively straightforward with a very basic
=[End Date Column]@row - [Start Date Column]@row
and then using an AVG function to get your desired results.
