You should be able to update the cells, but if it depends on what type it is and if they are locked. What cells are you trying to update?

Try a single click and then just start typing. Also keep in mind the requirements I outlined above about permissions and locked cells.

I created a new report and this time it lets me update it.

alright, that should work then, and no need to lose my eyesight on complex excel formulas.
