Smartsheet tabs in MS Teams

We have been able to add Smartsheet tabs (reports, dashboards, etc.) directly in MS Teams. However, now we are being asked to log in to Smartsheet every time we click on a tab. While frustrating, there is another more major issue where when we click the "Log In" button, nothing happens. We are not able to access any of our Smartsheet tabs in MS Teams.

Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks.

  • Hi @Nicole Juba Plant Response

This sounds like an issue that may be best dealt with by our Support Team; please contact them through this form, here, providing information such as screen captures, the steps you took to add those Reports/Dashboards, and what their Names/Urls are in Smartsheet.

If you're using Published links that require a login (where the Access Control is set to "users in the owner's account"), try toggling this to be "available to anyone with the link" so that the login button doesn't appear.

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

We had this same issue trying to integrate Smartsheet with Teams. The only way we could solve it was to use a direct link to Smartsheet. But, then only one sheet would be available in Teams. Since we use multiple sheets to manage our work, this limitation (along with the painful login process) caused us to abandon using the Smartsheet app in Teams. It would have been awesome if it worked seamlessly.

If you need additional information for Support, let me know. I can try to recreate what we experienced a few months ago when we tried to use SS and Teams.

    Wish you well!

    Same problem here.

We can link the tab, and once you log in it works, but having to log in EVERY time is tedious and unnecessary.

And I definitely don't want to completely open up the sheet to the whole world by "anyone with the link can edit"

  • We as a business are experiencing the same issue with login.

We are also using embedded PowerBi links in our Dashboards which also requests in-Dashboard access to PowerBi.

We are trying to use teams as an access platform to Smartsheet, but it is proving to be an issue as we cannot find a way around this continuous login problem.

Are there any proxy softwares / systems / loopholes that we can look at to stop this?
