Formula Autofill Issue

I'm having an issue with autofilling formulas when I add new rows....

I have a sheet with some columns that contain formulas that only reference other cells contained within that row.

When I insert a new row and enter data into the primary column those formulas autofill into that new row like they are supposed to.

I have other columns that have formulas that contain references to particular cells in other rows. These formulas are not autofilling when I add new rows.

Is this a temporary glitch or a limitation of Smartsheet?

I think it should work, but I have a question. Are you using Absolute References in the formulas that reference particular cells in other rows? if not, then I think what you may be running into is that the formulas are making the cell references dynamic and moving them away from your target cell.

To use an absolute reference add a $ to the column name and row number.

Yes it looks like the lack of absolute references was the issue. That's going to make my programming of this sheet a lot more tedious but at least its working now. Thank you
