How to create dependent drop down lists?
based on the choice selected on this drop down list, the next column should have a dependent drop down list (based on the choice in the previous column's choice).

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

As a possible workaround, you could use the Conditional Logic in Forms.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!

Even the offset function does not exist in Smartsheet to manipulate this demand.

I am not sure that Smartsheet will ever put this functionality in. I too have been looking into how to accomplish this, and I see posts requesting this all the way back to 2016 with no update or progress on getting it implemented.

You can use the Webhooks and SDK in the developer part, in my company we solve that problem with the API.

You can do this in AppSheet

@Robin Herrick does AppSheet work with Smartsheet? And do you have an example of an implementation of this?
-
AppSheet is a no-code app building service which uses Google Sheets to create relational databases. It can also work with Smartsheet as a source of data, but I don't have an example.
