Duration and finish dates
Hello
Is it possible to create a Formula or another way to do the following
example:
Industry Injection mold making
I have allotted 5 days for a task. ie starting on Monday- finish Friday
once finished they move to the next operation. start on the following Monday
I have a check box to machine the parts. in progress another for completed
the operator finishes one day early . I would like to click the finish check box and have the finish date moved back a day. thus moving the next operation to start on Friday.
is it possible to have the predecessor also cleared
I would then like the next operation check box to move the start date up.
thanks for any help

Gordon, the End Date and Predecessor columns in a Smartsheet project plan cannot contain formulas, so there is no way to do what you want currently and have it reflected in the Gantt.
A suggestion is that once you mark something as complete, you can highlight the row with conditional formatting as a reminder to make the changes manually.
