If you're using Automation, you will need to share the group to your sheet and then select this option in your automation:

I have multiple contacts in each group and I don't want to notify everyone for ever update. I only want to notify a contact group when a cell value meets a certain criteria. For example if cell A1 = 1 "send to group 1" and if A2 = 2 "send to group 2". I was hopeful I could callout the contact group in a cell just like when adding a contact or contacts manually to a "contact list" cell.

You could add a condition path that can send to different groups depending on the cell value or something similar.

This is what I'm looking for and seems straight forward. I'm not able to alert a contact group however in the automation workflow. See below; MKE Mach Shop which is a shared contact group of the sheet isn't part of the drop down list to select from.

Apologies, I should have been more clear.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to send to groups in automation at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment

As a workaround, you can either create different steps in the Workflow or add so-called helper columns in the sheet that would show the contacts depending on which group is selected/needed and then reference that in the Workflow instead. (the contacts would be collected by using a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH in the same sheet or a separate one)

Make sense?

The groups have to be kept up to date for it to work.
