Visual Studio crashes when using Live Data Connector

I tried both VS2017 and VS2019. I installed the LDC on my local machine. I can connect using the API token but the moment I try to save the connection or even preview the data, VS force closes and restarts. Any one else experience this?

It sounds like this may be an issue with Visual Studio; I would suggest posting in the Visual Studio Community (here) to see if anyone else has come across similar behaviour.

This user (here) had something similar happen with VS2017 and was able to resolve it.
