I have an automatic date field. I cannot modify the date if it is the wrong date. Any suggestions?

    I think you have to change the field properties from auto date to date and then update the date. I guess I can change it back but if the field is supposed to be changeable I should leave it at the Date and require individuals to input or select the date.

    Are you able to provide a screenshot so give a visual of what you are looking to do? And how is it the wrong date?

    You can see the correct date 7-21 and the forced auto date that cannot be changed

    @Doyle54, is this by chance a date field that is reading the date of the file that has been attached to the row? If so, I believe it may be set up to either the file upload/attach date rather than anything within the file itself. Look at the rows below it, and if your Date1 field matches the gray date and time in the Attachments information, then that would be your confirmation. Does that make sense?

    I hear you. But that would be a shame. The date of the attachment or the data the case is recorded in a row could be days or weeks after the event as is in this case. I was able to change it by switching the type of field structure from automatic to just date. I am starting to wonder if I should not leave it at date. Thank you. Carey
