Help with SUMIFS
I am trying to calculate the sum of "Total Clear" IF the date from "Form Date Field" is today, and the "Cell" value is "Z".

Hi @Megan T
Try something like this.
=SUMIFS([Total Clear]:[Total Clear]; [Form Date Field]:[Form Date Field]; TODAY(); Cell:Cell; "Z")
The same version but with the below changes for convenience.
=SUMIFS([Total Clear]:[Total Clear], [Form Date Field]:[Form Date Field], TODAY(), Cell:Cell, "Z")
Depending on your country/region, you'll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hey @Andrée Starå, I’m still getting a #INVALID OPERATION error. :-/ would this have anything to do with the fact that the date is system generated?
-
No, it should work, so there has to be something else causing the error.
Can you paste the exact formula?

=SUMIFS([Total Clear]:[Total Clear], [Form Date Field]:[Form Date Field], TODAY(), Cell:Cell, "Z")

Yes, that looks correct.
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

@Andrée Starå I created a dummy sheet to share with you, and the formula works fine there. The only difference I can think of is the number of rows. Is there a limit to the number of cells that can be referenced? Our actual sheet has roughly 6,000 rows.
-
Yes, there are limits, but I don't think was the reason for it not working.
Is it working now?
