"Modified By" Automated Column
I have a sheet that has sensitive information on it. Individual line items are set with an Update Request to an individual in a contacts column to update only their information, and those individuals do not have access to the entire sheet. Today 90% of the lines showed up with an individual that received Update Request in the modified by column (most not with his name in the contact column). He does not have general access to the sheet. How is this possible? Receiving some pretty negative feedback about this from the CSO that I am working for.

I would check the automation settings, also that particular row, and finally the individual in question's profile and what authority do they have in your smartsheet account.

In addition to @Valdeir Faria F. good suggestion you could also check the activity log to maybe find out about the trigger.
