Automated Emails - From line taken from Form?

We have a form that is used to submit requests to a sheet. Upon the new row being added, an automated email is generated.

Is there a way for the automated email to use the email address submitted on the Form as the "From".

Yes. You'll need to add a so-called helper column (Contact Type), and reference the column where the submitter adds their email address, and then use the helper column for the workflow.

I'm not clear how I would make that the From address of the email. Can you provide a little more detail/step-by-step please?

Unfortunately, I noticed now that I read your question wrong.

It's not possible to change the From field in Smartsheet, but it might be possible to use a 3rd-party solution to make it work.

Is that an option?
